Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh will be missed

When Weirdly first started, basically all we did was quote Tony Hsieh. The entrepreneur, who founded retail giant Zappos, approached business differently – he knew that how people connect to and feel about a company’s culture and values was, perhaps, the most important metric of all.

Hsieh died on Friday.

Former Zappos executive Alfred Lin called Hsieh a “gentle soul,” saying, “We’ll remember Tony for that and the happiness he brought to so many people.”

He was certainly an inspiration to our founders and we’ll feel his loss in the industry as an advocate and figurehead for values-led business.
