Bringing the Weirdly goodness

What the under-20s might lack in experience, they make up for in motivation and a willingness to learn. That’s why we’re doing more than just creating streamlined ways of getting candidates into jobs. We’ve also been working hard to create a community of candidates, full of applicants who have the skills that high-volume employers are looking for – and who are ready and keen to work.

It’s also about making sure even unsuccessful candidates come away with a positive experience. Yes, they’re more likely to apply again, but perhaps more importantly, that positivity will translate into the interactions they have with your brand as customers.

Check out some of our weirdly cool initiatives

We’ve been connecting with some awesome, like-minded companies and building new initiatives to do just that.

Making investing simple with Sharesies

Recently launched in Australia, Sharesies has exploded onto the investment scene – providing an amazing way for young people (aka Gen Z, that’s you) to start growing their financial literacy.

Empowering Generation Z

With a Sharesies profile, young people can invest in thousands of companies and funds in Australia, New Zealand and the US. By ditching the finance jargon and minimum investment barrier, it doesn’t matter how much money they have – they can develop wealth.
Linking up with our friends from Sharesies AU, we're now offering a special promo for the Weirdly crew. Sign up and they get $10 in their account – 10 smackers ready for those under-20s to start learning about investing.

Upskilling with RedSeed training

RedSeed is a training company that works with large organisations to unlock the potential of their business. They’re the best at what they do, which is why companies invest thousands per month into developing their workforce.
We’ve joined with the team at RedSeed, who have created a retail-focused course now available to Weirdly candidates – at a ridiculously cheap rate.

Making CVs stand out with $20 and two hours

The Fundamentals of Retail online course covers all the essential skills your candidates need to become retail sales superstars. Better yet, they’ll walk away with an impressive credential to put on their CV.

Connect candidates on Discord

Think of Discord as the digital version of a book club. It’s a voice, video and text communication service that lets people find – and hang out – with others who have the same interests.

Connect with community

We’ve put our heads together and built a community of young candidates on Discord. It’s a great place to connect with other first-job seekers, discuss applications and prepping for interviews, or swap ideas or advice with others who have recently stepped into the world of work. Candidates will also be able to access lots of juicy tidbits and good-to-know info from Weirdly.
